In the homeland of Tirol, as well as in many other regions of the planet, exists a belief that each and every human being is accompanied through life by a protective guardian angel. GRASSMAYR Bell Foundry is Austria’s oldest family-run handicraft company, consists since 1599, in Innsbruck, Austria.
GRASSMAYR is in constant effort to keep alive a variety of craftsman professions: sculptors, casters, musicians, metalworkers, carpenters, and electricians.
We were `blessed` to be present in the `birth` – the making of one of the biggest bells of Europe, specially designed for a Greek Orthodox church in Jerusalem! Almost 3 meters high and 1,5 meters wide, this baby had to get the blessing from 3 different priests in order to travel safely towards its destination!
